About Jimmy Sharpe—The Coach
Jimmy Sharpe is a seasoned pro in the midst of his second career. In his first career, he served as a college football coach for over 20 years when he was affectionately crowned “Coach.” Starting at Alabama University where he was a player and an assistant football coach under Coach Paul Bryant for 16 years. During his tenure with AU the football team won 4 National Championships. His football journey continued on next at Virginia Tech as the head coach. From there he went on to Mississippi State, University of Pittsburg, and Memphis State University. His final stop on the coaching “bus” was a taste of professional football with the Memphis Showboats of the USFFL. Coach proclaims that his long career in football was not only fun, but a wonderful experience as well.
His second career started in 1989 after moving to Destin, Florida. It was here and through relationships and networking that the Coach became involved with several local, real estate developers. What he discovered was the fact that there are similarities between coaching and development: “in both cases, you are Building something and putting people together to achieve a goal. Coach Sharpe obtained his Florida Real Estate broker license in 1992, marking the serious start of another amazing career.

Then in 2012, Rupert Phillips invited Jimmy Sharpe to join his team to give some much needed attention to a growing real estate company. Thus, the commencement of Realty Advisors which started with a vision.
